Winter Guitar School, December 2013
Marko Erdevicki, guitar instructor at Bergen Kulturskole (Norway) and Stevan Jovic gave a guitar workshop and performed a recital at Music School “Mihailo Vukdragovic” in Sabac.
Appointed Guitar Instructor
Stevan is now on the guitar faculty at Music High School “Mihailo Vukdragovic” in Sabac and Music School ”Vuk Karadzic” in Loznica, Serbia. These two schools have developed guitar programs with more than 150 classical guitar students combined.
Music High School ”Mihailo Vukdragovic” in Sabac was the home of the first piano ever brought to Serbia. There is long standing tradition of classical music in the City of Sabac, which is driven by the presence of this Music School.
Music Elementary School in Loznica offers intensive 6-year elementary music school program for talented young musicians. Besides their regular music lessons the students are also enrolled in Solfeggio class, Music Theory class, Choral Ensembles and Orchestra.
Interlochen Arts Academy Summer Camp, June 2013
Stevan Jovic has recently been appointed as the Guitar Instructor at Interlochen Summer Arts Camp. Summer Camp will include private lessons, chamber music coaching, technique master-classes, and guitar history and literature courses.
As the world’s premier summer arts program for aspiring artists in grades 3 through 12, Interlochen Arts Camp attracts students, faculty and staff from all 50 U.S. states and more than 40 countries. Each summer, 2,500 students come to Interlochen to train intensively with renowned instructors, producing more than 400 presentations in music, theater, dance, visual arts, creative writing and motion picture arts.
Kiwanis International, Bloomington Indiana
In cooperation with the Kiwanis Club International, Stevan and Evita Jovic presented the Guitar Teaching Aid Practice-Right. The presentation of the Practice-Right was accompanied by their discussion about the impact on music education and a performance for a delightful audience, members of Bloomington Kiwanis Club International.
