Prelude and Fugue 1804 is a work written in Neo-Baroque Balkan style. It was inspired by and dedicated to Karadjordje, a 19th century Serbian warrior and statesman – the leader of the Serbian revolution in 1804. Karadjordje raised the spirit of his people and led them into a quest for freedom after five centuries of slavery under the Ottoman Empire.
